My Dearest friends Solle(Mr. SomaShekhar Gowda BP) and preddy(Mr.Pradeep H S) received the news with excitement and shock!
They probably had never thought that it could happen or I could do it. Preddy knows me very well from 1988 when we were 8 years old! and Solle knows me from 1991! good solid 14 years!!
Today I received this beautiful mail from 'solle'(Mosquito in Kannada) !
Pasted below as it was......
Mail from Soma :-

Surprised, Excited and Shocked :-)!!!!!!
That's how I can describe my state yesterday.
After 1 day I could chew the situation... & in calm state "Namma haleya dinagala Meluku" madtidini.
I think this is the right time to do it & no no no ... don't close it or delete it... it is the time share few things & just do "meluku" in future...
..............................................Navodaya, C-godu.....
The 1st meet happened on the day of 6th standard final results in the evening. I tell it as 1st meet coz eventhough we knew about each other, on that day we actually spoke and decided to do well in coming years...
holidays came and we were back to our den...
No talk during school hours but during night studies (in MP hall coz severe power cuts) in front of candles. Then the venue shifted to our own Dormitory building. The call "maani" from Bhagavat sir was making everyone look at u & preddy... I was sometimes proud and sometimes feeling IC (u knew it!!!)... The dinners we were having together sitting infront of Ganesh sir , Bhagavat sir & getting the good curd from them... "Maani togolo..." the wonderful taste & love made us proud.
Then came the day when decided to become best friends in life at the most beautiful place in the world "THE OLD BATHROOM" Ha ha ha ha... u know we were sharing bathrooms to take bath. Its really a laughing thing if we tell it to others now even to a child.
Studies, sports became our life & mane "tindi" on Sundays (nanna bayalli jollu suritide) just kept us move forward. Days came & went, I fell behind studies & u marched forward. But even then we had great relationship which nothing could shake up...
I visited ur house in kadur during 8th standard holidays & was there for invaluable 3 days spending time in watching different channels on TV (really enjoyed as there was no channel except DD1 at my home & even now my parents are against taking cable connection!!!;-( ) & heard the A.R.Rahman's songs of which u were passionate and I too became soon...
U know from that day onwards I got addicted to TV which I am unable to comeout even now. Yes, in between sometimes I managed to overcome it when my future was at risk.
The good quality which I liked in those days (don't take that I am praising u) u were a good pal hearing to whatever I said and never ever complained about it....
The days passed and we entered to our 10th. Under superb guidance from Devasia we achieved our goals of scoring high grade. But I was not sure of my future but u were & I followed u (also Ajey) & took Science. The 11th was the wonderful time pass to us but even now I regret it. We lost focus (may be I am wrong here, I should mention only "I" ) and wasted our time which really damaged my future (even now I feel I should have used it in better manner & if I get a chance to change "my past" I would definitely goto 11th & make it memorable) Somehow I (is it "we") crawled to 12th. Here I had a disappointment... as I was not informed about the tuitions in chikmagalore (when came to know about it from I u, it was late and I was furious on u & rebuked at u.... Sorry) Basically it was my mistake... I know it now...
You were School leader & I was cultural secretary - secretary without culture as termed by our pals. The "Holi" day - I don't celebrate it even now as I feel it was the biggest black mark in my life as I myself became a harasser (morally) on that day & can't forgive - which turned out to be a black day in my role as Cultural Secretary. I was U who embraced me and made me to forget the scolding from all the teachers especially Devasia whom I regarded as my 2nd mentor in school days. His speeches were awesome & inspired all of us to look at our goal & march towards it without any detraction. U know "I had not told u this before but now" - the day when devasia was leaving He called me to his house and told "I was the greatest, obedient student, friend, boy & impressed him with my actions" he wished me goodluck....(eye drops).... U know what are my feelings to those lovely gesture from D now... - I feel it was u, ajey & the situations (of course family environment) which made me to become his loveable boy !!!-
The fighting I had with most of my friends during 12th was showing my state of arrogance & possessiveness. That's when I was feeling someone should give me pep talk & share my feeling... U were there on most of the occasions....
The school day, when all teachers had thrown out this "Cultural Secretary"
from all the actions including the meetings... I was at bottom & didn't attend the function. But I remember u being with me in room for sometime to solace me and went back with our troop (all of our friends) to make it "Whistle function" & embarrassed everyone (to be specific Mr.Madhusudan)...
Huuu.....(deep breathe)
Our joint venture to study for IIT was a flop ;-( but it gave lot of confidence.. isn't it? When I didn't do well in exams (as I thought) & especially in Maths which was my pet... u gave lot of strength through ur words to carryon & ur efforts made me happy....
I was unsure about "what to do next??" I followed u... took CET & entered Hassan college... Broken, yes our contact had fallen as we became very
serious with our career options... Infact it was rare during that time
to talk to u & meet u... but it went on and yes, no clue about new found relationship (I always felt I can read my best friends mind as they could mine, but always I was wrong!!!) I was very happy when I got the news that u r going to MBA at SPJ... U know I was (am) boasting myself with everyone that my best pal is doing MBA in SPJ... (feathers in my cap)...
But yesterday I was really "Surprised, Excited and Shocked" & a little bit disappointment as u had not left any clue to catch u!!!.. & my feeling of taking things granted... (Frankly I never expected this....) ....but its for good, infact better & I will take it & want it to be best...
;-)))))))))))
I wish u lot of happiness in ur new relationship (for u it may old..
4 years I guess).

Simbly South and Mojo Man
Freshers' Party @ SP last Friday.
PGP-1's talent is first displayed and then the PGP-2 studs take over!
PGP-1's program was OK...with some songs, dances and a skit. Within a short time that they had got, they managed to put up a good enough show.
After their show at around 8.20 the studs from PGP-2 took over. Eashwari and Anurag Agarwal taking over the Mike!! Songs by Anurag Srivastava, Nishant were superb. Suchi's spoof on PGP-1 women and the highlight of the day..the BackStreetBoys spoof by Dudes of PGP-2!!
Then we had 2 back to back Dances for Hindi numbers. Dances were amazing.
Then Eashwari announced that Lal Harwani will be on stage. Ashok started dancing for Mila Mila and suddenly Hari stopped him and said "Poda, Relax da..(Ashok goes out, then hari poinitng to the Light man), "Light OFF da", and "PPT On da"!
Thus started Simbly South! Team of 10 guys. The PPT was prepared by Nishant. It played "Urvashi urvashi" from Kaadalan in the back ground.
PPT started off with "The machi gang ..presents" , "A PGP-2 Prdoduction", "In association with 'Fresh KaApi' ( Hari's Radio), its hot nachi" and finally " A culmination of 4 languages". It then showed the photographs of all the south Indian heroes starting from Prabhudeva, Rajni, Kamal, Mammotty, Mohan lal, Chiru, Nagarjuna and Uppi!.
Nagaraj, Shiva , Madhu and myself danced for Rasa Rasa ( Tamil)
KP, Naka, Madhu and myself dancing for "MTV - Uppi" ( Kannada)
Shiva and nagaraj dancing superbly for Damma - Telugu
KP, Sujith, Naka and me dancing for Dingiri - Mallu
and finally
Ashok and Madhu entered in wasty ( Panche, white Lungi)
and we all danced for Appudi podu ( Tamil)
The dance was good. We had put in a lot of effort practicing from 12 to 3 every night for more than 4-5 days. Shiva and Nagaraj had tough time designing steps for amateurs like us.
If PGP-1 thought that their skit had lot of indencent dialogues..it was time for them to be spell bound!
The skit scripted by General Anish and the Dude Arun was sinply awesome.
We practiced for just 4 hours for this skit.
The voice over by Isaac, Arun was awesome
Anish as Mojo Man was rocking!!!
I acted as the president in the skit.
The event ended with superb singing by Santosh and party!!!
Shiva's friend Nagesh from NITIE was a spectator for the event and all he said in the end was
"SP Rocks!"!!
We do!!

Paheli and Electives!
Watched Paheli in the night. Was good till the interval. The story loses its grip after the interval. Nothing much happens!! Shah Rukh has acted well...Rani is the best in the movie.
Electives in 2nd year MBA have their own sweet role! They play an important role in deciding our sleeping hours. Most of the guys have taken CRM as an elective and are being taught by Prof.Lakshmi Mohan who flies in from USA to teach. So they have a very hectic schedule for the next 2 weeks, those who haven't taken it have to sit back and enjoy the monsoons!!! Good sleep beckons!!!
I am planning to stay awake till 3-4 in the morning..and sleep till 11-12 from today :-)
Life in a B school can't get any simpler than this!

Feb and March were hectic with End terms of Trim III and Compre...
Compre is the biggest thing! Vomiting the studies of the entire year in one go is sick! got to do it anyway :-)
Then came Development of Corporate Citizenship projects.. went home on 14th march, DOCC started from 21st March and went on upto 30th april. 2nd May we were back on campus.
I did my DOCC in my hometown Chikmagalur. Developed a website for my NGO.
www.ashakirana.esmartstudent.com
May went on..nothing much happened..we were in 2nd year IM :-)
Then came the GOA trip! 1st and 2nd june!! It was simply amazing...18 SPjainites...together...and driving around was gr8 fun.
Then came freshers...our PGP-1 friends...
and now Life is back to normal..with assignments, tests and Autumns preparation lined up. (Just for your info.!!! We hardly care for tests and assignments anymore!)
We r in the second half of the life in B-school now!!! Hoping for the best..as ever!

Theater!!
I am getting hooked onto the theater these days. Today we all went to watch 'Class of 84'. It was a superb play. Simple but very well done!
From the time we staged 'The Final Solutions' most of the Gaspians here in SP have started thinking seriosuly about plays! I am most definetely included in the list!!
Mumbai is a gr8 place for theater activities! I heard even Pune is gr8! nothing much in Bangalore though!!
I know about Ninasam in Heggodu. Ninasam stands for Nilakanteshwara Natya Sangha and it is a pioneer in experimental theaters.
http://footsbarn.com/news/index.en.html talks about NINASAM.
The other one in Bangalore is Rangashankara www.rangashankara.org
Watching a play is an experience.
Cheerio,
KSP.
